The eCopy ShareScan OP v3.0 is comprised of both hardware and software components:
Hardware:
eCopy ScanStation OP
- Comprised of an integrated, free standing touch screen, keyboard, and PC
- Connects easily to a Sharp Digital IMAGER
- Supports both color and black and white scanning
- To make an eCopy, simply place the paper document in the copier's paper tray and choose one of several "send" options
- Destination options are shown as easy to read icons on the eCopy ScanStation OP touch screen and may include: Scan and Mail, Scan and Fax, Scan to Desktop, Scan to Printer, and Scan to Document Management System
Software:
eCopy ShareScan OP
- eCopy ShareScan OP is the software that drives the eCopy ScanStation OP
- eCopy ShareScan OP integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Windows and Novell Netware networks
- eCopy ShareScan OP consists of three components: the eCopy ShareScan OP Client, eCopy ShareScan OP Admin Console, and eCopy ShareScan OP Services Manager
- Administrators can manage connector profiles for multiple eCopy ScanStation OPs from an administrative workstation anywhere on the network
- Additionally, eCopy ShareScan OP enables connections into fax, e-mail, and document management applications (add-on connectors only) from the device
- Custom "Scan to" buttons can also be created using the eCopy Quick Connect feature
- Color documents are scanned with eCopy Xpert Compression Technology which reduces file size by more than 99% of the original size
- Files can be easily transmitted across a network, digitally stored, and printed with superb text and image quality
eCopy Desktop
eCopy Desktop provides a powerful set of document workflow tools that enable individual users to manage paper documents as electronic files right from their desktop workstations. eCopy Desktop works with most network fax, e-mail, and ODMA*-compliant document management applications: including, Lotus Notes Mail, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Captaris RightFax (NT Server), Interwoven, Documentum, and others. (10 licenses ship with the standard product)
*ODMA - Open Document Management API, an open industry standard that enables a desktop application to interface with a Document Management System (DMS).
eCopy Viewer
The eCopy Viewer is a small-footprint (1MB) viewing application that enables any user to view and print a scan, right from their desktop.
Connectors
An eCopy-enabled Sharp Digital IMAGER provides direct integration to a multitude of back-end applications via an eCopy Connector. A "Connector" is a link between an eCopy-enabled Sharp Digital IMAGER and a networked software application or service like e-mail, document management systems, fax servers, enterprise software applications, etc.
